The Yoshihiro Natural Magnolia Wood Saya Cover is expertly designed to protect the blades of Sujihiki slicers. This product is crafted from Japanese Magnolia wood, known as Ho-no-ki, which is commonly utilized in the creation of saya covers for both traditional and Western-style knives.

Magnolia wood serves as an ideal protective material for knife blades due to its unique properties. It is soft and moisture-resistant, ensuring that it effectively safeguards the blade without causing any corrosion, a common risk associated with strong resins that may be present in other materials, particularly when paired with carbon steel blades.

For additional safety, a pin is included to keep the blade securely in place within the sheath. It is important to note that we recommend inserting your knife into the saya only after the blade has thoroughly dried.
